About who needs care: My mom is very sharp, but is no longer really mobile. She had polio as a child and has never been super mobile, but now she is confined to her scooter after all these years. She is very capable mentally, was actively involved in her senior center and other clubs. About the care needs: My mom would probably like someone who is self-sufficient, and can sit and read just as easily as help her when she needs it. The person probably shouldn't be overly chatty unless my Mom is engaging them to chat. Services needed include: transporation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
