About who needs care: Stroke survivor, in a wheelchair, has extremely limited mobility, no control over left side of body (arm and leg). Interested in baking, cooking, fitness, going for walks (would need to be pushed in wheelchair) but cannot do anything independently anymore. Possible early stages of dementia. About the care needs: looking for someone friendly, with a sense of humor, can carry on a conversation but also know how to redirect a conversation if necessary. Someone who is willing to adapt and try new things to keep the client motivated. Must be experienced with working with stroke patients and physical therapy exercises. Services needed include: mobility assistance.
