About who needs care: Struggles with short term memory. Unable to drive. Pain in shoulder and arm due to arthritis (limited movement - writing and eating sometimes hurt). Likes to do puzzles, loves her cat, short walks are good (especially likes going to the nearby plaza), likes to read. About the care needs: Someone who is patient, loving and enjoys cats is a plus (there are 3 indoor - 2 belong to the homeowners and 1 belongs to the patient). Some of the patients views are very traditional and will need tolerating (with respect to the roles of men and women in particular). If you can play Canasta (a card game she adores) that is also a plus. She enjoys Canasta and Scrabble and jigsaw puzzles and is unable to learn new games. Services needed include: transportation, and companionship.
