Companion Care Needed For My Father In Santa Barbara

About who needs care: My father has dementia and struggles with his short term memory. He is abled bodied and able to dress, clean and feed himself but often needs prompting and/or reminders. We are looking for a companion in home who can be present to ensure his safety, provide friendship, meal prep such as lunch and offer respite to myself and mother who are the primary caretakers. About the care needs: Someone who is understanding of his condition who is patient, kind, upbeat and great at redirection. Someone who loves animals (we have two dogs), willing to play games/ suggest activities outside of TV. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
