Hands-on Care Needed For My Father In San Marcos

About who needs care: Dad was very recently diagnosed with dementia & can no longer drive. He does not have much drive to take care of household tasks anymore, so we are looking for a caregiver to come in & just make sure things are in order. Maybe do a load or 2 of laundry, take him to the grocery store, pick up/take out trash, clean up the bathrooms & kitchen, etc. He has a dog & a cat as well & does not take care of the litter box, so assistance with that would be appreciated. He needs gentle reminding to drink water (NOT alcohol or soda), make sure he is taking his medications & general self grooming (showering, brushing teeth, etc.) He is still pretty ambulatory on his own, so doesn't need much help getting around. He would definitely benefit from some companionship, though. About the care needs: Must be comfortable with animals-chocolate lab dog & a cat. Should have a good sense of humor & thick skin to roll with my dad's sense of humor. Someone with experience surrounding memory care would be great, but not necessary. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
