Dedicated and compassionate caregiver needed to support our autistic 20-year-old son. The primary responsibility of this role is to act as a communication partner for our son, who is non-speaking and uses a total communication approach, including a letterboard, AAC devices, gestures, and American Sign Language (ASL). Experience with AAC methods and supporting non-verbal communication is essential. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of special education, behavior management techniques, and the unique needs of individuals with autism. This position requires patience, understanding, and experience in supporting communication, assisting with daily living activities, and managing behavioral challenges.
