About who needs care: My grandmother was a painter in Italy. She is from Bergamo in the north. She has lived in the US for 30 years. She speaks good English. She still loves to cook and will kick you out of the kitchen!! She gets around very well. She has a walker but doesn't use it very often. She needs help getting in and out of the bath. She is very fashionable and wants to get dressed every day and sometimes needs help with that. My dad who was her only son died five years ago. I am in charge of her now. I am married and my husband travels for work about half the time. We have three children (6, 9, and 12). She lives in a back house behind us with a hot plate and mini fridge. She cooks in our kitchen. There is a lot of activity. Did I mention we have three Corgis? We need someone to take our Nonna to mass. She likes to go almost every day and does not miss mass on Sunday. She also needs someone to make sure she eats breakfast lunch and dinner. She does not take any medications. Her mind is sharp as a whip. She needs help keeping her painting area clean -- if you are a painter or artist yourself that is great! She needs someone to remind her when its time to go to bed and to help her with the evening tasks to get into bed. There is a rollaway bed for a caregiver though it is not needed that the caregiver stay every night. We are looking for just the right artistic intelligent woman.
