About who needs care: My grandfather suffered a neurological event (similar to a stroke) and has worked hard to be able to communicate and gain back some of his regular functions. He is unable to walk and uses a wheelchair to get around now. He enjoys catching up with different family members and friends on the phone daily, talking about current events and other hot topics, exercising and getting fresh air weather permitting. He is able to navigate through the day on his own, but he needs assistance in the shower (transferring in and out, washing his back, applying lotion and getting dressed. About the care needs: We are looking for a reliable, confident and talkative person. Safety is the top priority, the ideal caregiver will have experience transferring a 200 male in and out of the shower. Its not a full lift, just have the ability to assist in the shower and prevent a fall (hands on help is a must)! Added bonuses = do you love to read? Keep up with current events?
