About who needs care: My daughter, 26, has a developmental disability but is very high-functioning. She lives in an apartment, has a part-time job, and loves to play in Special Olympics. She needs help with cooking, and cleaning and needs prompting to complete daily living chores. She also does not drive and would occasionally need a ride to or from work. About the care needs: Someone who likes to get things done and is reliable. They show up consistently. Someone upbeat and has a sense of humor. If they like sports that's a big plus because my daughter is really into sports. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
