About who needs care: Mother bedridden, needs someone who can transfer to and from wheelchair. Father also in home but limited in helping. Help making lunch and feeding mother. Includes diaper changing, bathing and laundering bed sheets. Both hard of hearing so need someone who can communicate clearly in English. Mother has COPD but on O2 only during night. About the care needs: Someone with transfer experience important. Sociable with good sense of humor who can communicate clearly. Also willing to communicate and work with daughters who are there overnight and very much a part of parents caregiving. Parents have strong Catholic values as well. They will have to be focused on mother and not on phone. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
