About who needs care: My father is over 80 and has limited mobility. He is confined to the ground floor of our 2-story house because his left arm is not strong enough to hold onto the stairway rail. He uses a walker for balance and he shuffles his feet very slowly. He has suffered a number of falls recently and we want to avoid any additional falls. He needs help getting dressed in the morning and before going to bed. He needs help getting to the bathroom and sometimes getting out of his recliner. He is okay using the bathroom himself. About the care needs: My dads hobbies are ham radio and religion. He attends the local Methodist church when he is able. While these interests aren't required for the caregiver, knowing about them may help the caregiver understand my dad better. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
