About who needs care: Father is 93 has trouble walking long distances and standing for long periods. He's able to shower & use the restroom. Mother just had emergency surgery to remove a blood clot in her leg. She has balance issues and some minor memory issues. Father cant hear at all and refuses hearing aids, mother has bad hearing but not as bad as his. Mother is receiving PT right now, but that will end. About the care needs: My parents love people who are funny and love to joke. My father is a lover of Broadway musicals and has seen just about every one that has been produced on Broadway from the 1950"s up until the 1990's. Parents are very nice and fun to be around. For their ages and conditions you would be surprised at what they can do. They treat people as if they are family once they know you. They really don't have hobbies, Dad loves to watch High School sports on TV, but spends most of his time sleeping and surfing the "net". Mom is an avid reader and plays games on her iPad. She LOVES baseball and basketball, especially the Golden State Warriors and Dodgers. They both love Jeopardy & Wheel of Fortune and some prime time shows. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
