About who needs care: My father is 81 and able to live pretty independently, but needs some touch points throughout the day/week. He is in charge of his own medication and likes to spend his days reading, watching tv and sitting on the front lawn with a dog. He has mobility issues, makes use of a cane and/or a walker. My main concern is keeping his space tidy and meal prep. About the care needs: Looking for someone who is patient, trustworthy, respects the dignity of aging (no baby talk needed here). My father is an academic and likes to engage in observational/current event discussions. He also likes to be left alone, so ideally someone who can strike that balance. Someone who is okay with big dogs, preferred. No dogs live in the home, but they might visit. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
