I'm looking for companion care for my longtime friend in their 70s. He has dementia but is very interactive and interested in having conversations with others. Currently he is in memory care. However, he was in assisted living prior to the Altadena fires during which his care facility burned to the ground. He lost everything; in the stress of several changes of environment he became more disoriented, with increased memory problems. He is very much back at base line but needs to demonstrate this to his new care facility & needs opportunity for conversation to achieve that goal. Duties include providing companionship and social interaction. Part of your responsibilities will include running errands with him. We ask that you handle transportation as needed. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker.
