For three nights a week from 10p to 8a, I need a hands-on care provider experience for my mother in her 90s who lives with me. Most of the time she can independently transfer from bed to wheelchair and wheelchair to toilet. She needs to visit the toilet as many as 10 times a night or as few as 4. She uses pull ups and occasionally needs help changing them. light snacks may be requested. Usually toast and warm milk help her get back to sleep. The primary responsibility for this job is to prevent Mom from falling. Be sure her wheelchair is secure before she stands up and needs to lean on it for support. Mom is not accustomed to having strangers in the house. She may be thorny until she trusts you. Mostly, though she is grateful for help and especially little snacks at night.
