About who needs care: Lynn is a kind, independent, and resilient Vietnam veteran who has always taken care of those around him. He values his autonomy but is now in need of support to ensure his safety and well-being. He has Parkinson's (entering stage four), which affects his mobility and daily tasks, so patience, reliability, and a compassionate approach are key. He enjoys good conversation, a sense of humor, watching shows & movies, and maintaining as much independence as possible while receiving the care he needs. About the care needs: We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and dependable caregiver who understands the importance of balancing support with Lynn's desire for independence. A good fit would be someone who is kind, attentive, and has a good sense of humor. Someone who can engage in conversation and make him feel at ease. Experience with Parkinson's care, mobility assistance, and medication reminders would be ideal. Lynn is a Vietnam veteran, so familiarity with VA benefits or a willingness to help navigate them would be a major plus. Most importantly, we want a caregiver who treats him with respect, dignity, and care, making his daily life safer and more comfortable. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
