About who needs care: Just completed radiation treatment for cancerous tumors in her brain and is on Hospice. She loves people, music, nature, crafts, and some TV. An ideal day is to assist her with taking meds at the proper time, make meals (very small), she sleeps mostly and gets up to walk to her TV room to sit up and watch TV. It's mainly being attentive to her and guide her at times its needed as she is a fall risk. While she loves a good conversation, she simply loves quiet support too. She's the best patient you'll work with, always kind and pleasant but the family needs help. About the care needs: A calm loving hearted caregiver who can be encouraging and allow independence but provide safety at the same time. She is a high fall risk. Someone who can keep themselves occupied during down times with light house cleaning, maintain a daily log, communicate well with me who is part of the care team and who will provide support for you during this process. A person who is pet friendly, she has two Yorky dogs, need to be sure they have food and water, let out onto porch to go potty, and may need to put up a small barrier when feeding client. They are easy. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
