I'm looking for live-in home care for my husband in his 80s who has vascular dementia. He sleeps a good part of the day and all night. He is mostly sits or lies down but can walk without or with minimal assistance. He has urinary incontinence and needs occasional assistance with changing his pull-up briefs and applying barrier cream to his rear end. He can bathe himself but needs to be monitored while bathing. He can dress himself but needs assistance occasionally. Because he sleeps so much, this position includes routine house cleaning, shared meal prep, and assisting me with various other tasks. Other duties include providing companionship and taking him on occasional outings (like (for breakfast/ lunch, to the library, for a drive, etc.) Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker, comfortable with pets and CPR / first-aid trained.
