About the job
Seeking a warm, compassionate person to join our home and care for my partner, Pedro. We are New Yorkers in a queer, interracial, interabled relationship. We value kindness and respect. He is active, social, and alert. You'll assist 6 mornings/wk and with bedtime routine 3x/wk. Your schedule is fully yours from 11a until bedtime. He has other caregivers who cover afternoons/evenings. Position comes with a private, one-bedroom ADU with its own kitchen and bathroom behind our house. Occasional overnight stays in our guest room may be required if I'm traveling for work. Experience is preferred but not required; we offer paid training. You should be kind, detail-oriented, flexible, and comfortable with body care. Background check/references required.
