About who needs care: My Mom recently passed. My dad has Macular degeneration so he needs help with showers and basic hygiene, shaving and skin care. Also, someone who knows how to cook, do light housekeeping including bedding. First aid certified. Someone who speaks good english since my dad is hard of hearing. My Dad likes to write and work on his computer. He has occasional dr. appointments that he would need help getting to. About the care needs: My Dad has a strong personality and would benefit from someone who understands this. Since he recently lost his wife, he is still mourning her loss. They were married for 68 years so he needs a compassionate and understanding person. My dad is very intelligent, he reads and writes. He keeps up on world affairs and politics. He is a democrat and will engage in political debate if the subject comes up. He likes to discuss books and he likes sports. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
