About the job
In need of a female caregiver to assist in caring for my 70 yr old wife who suffers from Parkinson's Disease and is also a paraplegic. Typical duties include: Assisting with diaper changes, dressing her, transferring in/out of bed. Prepping breakfast. Morning hygienic routine and medications assistance. Attentive companionship. Assisting with meals (feeding her). Prepping for bed (brushing hair, changing etc). Experience with a hoyer lift is a PLUS but not required. This IS NOT a recurring position. It is an "on call" position for weekend help. Assistants are not required to work both daily shifts. They are scheduled independently. Adequate advance notice will be given when help is required. Applicants MUST speak English and be willing to accept $18/hr. A preliminary phone discussion and subsequent in person interview are required.
