About who needs care: My mother-in-law has moderate Alzheimer's, but does not need specialized care at this point. She is going to move in with us next week, and we will simply need someone to be with her a couple of hours a day or so to allow us to leave home to run errands, etc. Basically, we need a "babysitter." Because she is originally from Ecuador, she prefers Spanish and would probably be more comfortable who speaks Spanish fluently. About the care needs: Ideal would be an older woman, between 50 and 60, who speaks Spanish fluently and has a reserved personality, i. e, is not too extroverted and blustery. The person should also have at least some basic familiarity with dementia patients. No special care is required at this point, but my mother-in-law's short-term memory is pretty bad at this point. Services needed include: companionship.
