About who needs care: Has mild cognitive impairment associated with early-stage Alzheimer's; has a pacemaker; is on several medications, including a blood thinner. Likes to play piano and do crossword puzzles. Currently obese and sedentary -- increasing activity and weight loss are primary goals. About the care needs: Patient, warm, likes to engage in conversation. It would be ideal if caregiver at least has an interest in music or just enjoys listening to music. Is physically able to provide support/assistance when needed, as patient has limited mobility. Is able to drive and take patient on outings for physical activity or to appointments as necessary. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and mobility assistance.
