About the job
About who needs care: He is 78, has dementia and is also unsteady on his legs. Right now, all I need is someone to bathe him. I'm 77 and we live in an apartment. We have one bathroom with a shower only but it's really small. The other bathroom has a tub with showerhead. No handheld showerhead in either, and the bathrooms have no grab bars. I do have a shower seat in the tub. But I'm having trouble getting him in and out of the tub. I'm afraid he'll slip, and I won't be able to hold him. About the care needs: They should have a good sense of humor and patience. They should be able to have the strength to keep him from falling. I asked him would he prefer a man or a woman to help him and he says he has no preference. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
