We need hands-on care to primarily engage and look after my mother in Cerritos. She's an 84-year-old woman living with my 84-year-old Dad. She's recently had a change in her cognitive abilities. Looking for Saturday and Sunday 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. approximately 2 weekends per month. First 2 hours purely to engage with Mom (memory care, going out, singing, whatever works). Then 5 - 8 cooking for both parents (Mom is diabetic), meal planning, marketing, and cleaning up. Assistance with medication may be needed. Some light tidying up may be involved. Looking for a caring and compassionate person. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker. Person with some nursing background also a plus.
