I'm seeking a hands-on caregiver for my 77-year-old mother to assist with daily hygiene tasks. This includes helping her shower, prompting her to brush her teeth, assisting with drying and brushing her hair, and putting it in a ponytail, as well as helping her get dressed. My mother is about 105 pounds and has incontinence, short-term memory loss, confusion, and mobility challenges. She has difficulty walking and using her dominant right hand. She is new to receiving help after a 5-week stay in a skilled nursing center and values her privacy. It's important that she feels comfortable and respected. Once her physical therapy ends, we may incorporate physical activities to help her regain strength and prevent muscle atrophy. If you're compassionate and patient, we'd love to hear from you.
