About the job
My mom lives with me and my husband in Cambria. She is 95, has moderate dementia, is continent and ambulatory. I'm looking for a caregiver who is compassionate, patient, very dependable and has experience working with dementia. Care Needs: assistance with showering, very light housekeeping, help staying physically active, assistance with toileting, assistance with dressing, basic meal preparation, companionship/activities, assistance in maintaining her ability to care for herself. Caregiver needs the important skill set to redirect my mom to say yes. Also to prompt her while dressing and following basic hygiene. I moved my mom out a facility so I could make sure she receives the care she needs. My focus is on supporting her in maintaining her independence and staying engaged in life.
