About who needs care: My father has dementia but is very high functioning and in perfect physical health. My stepmother is very high functioning and manages his needs well. Neither of them can drive at this time. My stepmother needs significant help managing household business - Neither of them can handle the digital age and need help listening to music, using the internet, getting the news, going to the market, etc. About the care needs: They should know there will be resistance to getting help to start with, so the caregiver needs to be patient. I think they need someone who starts as just a good assistant to their life needs. Keeping track of doctor appointments, etc. They are both kind people but are unhappy and struggling with getting older.
