About who needs care: About Me: I'm a retired, disabled woman seeking a live-in personal care assistant to join me in my two-bedroom apartment in Berkeley, CA. As a former program director, project developer, and researcher in the disability field, I appreciate a good sense of humor and enjoy writing, films, books, food, and spending time with friends. The Role: As my live-in assistant, you'll enjoy rent-free living and receive IHSS for providing essential care. Your primary responsibilities will include: Assistance with dressing, showering, and grooming Light housekeeping tasks Range of motion exercises Occasional transportation assistance About the care needs: The ideal candidate will work approximately 6 hours per day, 5 days per week, with 2 days off.
