About who needs care: My father has mild dementia. He lives with my brother and mom, but they need some respite help a few days a week. My fathers dementia presents in a passive and compliant way rather than aggressive, which is good. About the care needs: Loving and patient would be appreciated. The caregiver does need to be comfortable occasionally helping him change clothes and clean up if he has an accident. We have him wear depends regularly. Most of the time at home, he watches TV or plays games like hand and foot or Yahtzee. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
