About the job
Duties 1. Transferring me between wheelchair, bathroom, commode, and bed. I weigh about 140 pounds and can stand briefly with the assistance of a gait belt. 2. Personal care, including applying compression boots and wraps, dental care, dry eye therapy, administering medication and supplements, applying pain relief cream, assisting in some toileting activities, and putting on a pull-up 3. Making my dinner and cleaning up after dinner 4. Putting me to bed, which is involved because I have to be positioned in a particular manner 5. Giving food and water to the cat, and if comfortable giving liquid medication to the cat. Cat is indoor only and very friendly. The only other person living at the house is my husband who is not in great physical shape either, although you do not need to provide any personal care for him.
