About who needs care: My mother has vascular dementia and walks with a cane due to a stroke. She is present/verbal and enjoys conversation. Needs supervision walking, toileting. She is anxious with caregivers she doesn't know so we'd prefer the same caregiver if possible. She usually watches TV in the afternoon (MSNBC, food channel) . Would need someone on Mon & Tues from noon to around 7 or 8 and a third or fourth day either on the weekend or during the week. CG who has sense of humor and upbeat, someone skilled with dementia able to redirect and soothe. CG interested in politics or current events might be a good match. Covid conscious, willing to mask or test (we can supply test) Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
