Senior Carer For Mobility-impaired Father, 72 Years Old

Dad spends most of his time at his computer or at his shop table working on fiddles. In an ideal day, you'd come over to help with light housework such as doing the dishes, laundry, vacuuming and sweeping, wiping down countertops, helping to open boxes and taking out recycling and trash, and other tasks. Then, you could help dad with any tasks related to his shop - sending out fiddles and bows, ordering supplies for his shop. We'd love for Dad to have some help cooking meals as well. Companionship would also be a lovely addition to the day. Dad is a world-class musician and has spent his life playing music (he's a fiddler), and maintaining his beautiful collection of fiddles. He loves to tell stories and loves to dive into a range of topics. Though he is physically impaired, he maintains his fiddle repair business and frequently has clients over to his house. We're looking for someone who is patient, compassionate, and willing to be a support for my dad as his mobility decreases. A congenial, relaxed personality who is not easily distracted or stressed by mess would be ideal as dad is a hoarder (though we have just done a huge clean and purge of his home). A rather pragmatic and thoughtful person who is a diligent communicator (with me, his daughter) would be fabulous! Yes, the property has parking. No pets but Dad has always had a cat. He can no longer maintain the level of care a cat needs. If this is something you could assist with (litter box, feeding, vet appointments) I would love for him to have a cat companion back in his life!
