About who needs care: was diagnosed with brain cancer (Glioblastoma) in the fall of 2024. She recently underwent a craniotomy (late-October) and received treatment of Chemotherapy & Radiation through a Clinical Study from early-December 2024 through mid-January 2025. The study has concluded and she currently does not have any Chemo or Radiation scheduled. Hobbies/Interest include frequent resale shopping. She is also a former motorcycle enthusiast (passenger), who no longer rides after experiencing an accident in 2023. She loves telling stories and sharing her ideas with any audience (of one or more) who is willing to listen. She's a southern girl, and she has no shortage of curiosity and opinions on every matter under the sun. We are seeking support including housekeeping, respite care for her current primary caregiver, mobility assistance, some bathing and bathroom assistance, and just general care to make her present life comfortable and positive. About the care needs: An ideal caregiver would be experienced, patient, kind and supportive, and above all, be a great listener -- because DOES like to tell her stories, and often repeats the ones most interesting to her (although she does take requests). The caregiver should be strong enough to help stand, sit, get in and out of bed, and assist her with walking (her mobility is significantly compromised due to her current medical condition). As finds most every topic and subject interesting, she would love to hear about the caregiver's personal hobbies and interests, whatever they may be. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
