About who needs care: The care would be for my mother and my stepfather. My stepfather has Parkinsons with dementia. He mostly needs assistance with remembering to perform daily tasks and to be prevented from doing anything harmful to himself or the house. My mother needs more physical assistance. She has degenerative spine issues and her physical ability has been decreasing. She needs assistance getting ready in the mornings and needs to be driven to her appointments. Assistance with food prep and household chores according to her daily energy level would be needed as well. About the care needs: My parents are very conservative people and my Mom has been an artist most of her life. She has an art studio at home where she makes things to sell online. She is a private and modest person who likes to be in control. My step dad is very social and goes to play pool with friends as well as attends social activities at Bellavista. They would do well with a caregiviger that is friendly, upbeat, and easygoing. My mother would like to decide what she does and does not get help with. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
