About the job
About who needs care: My father-in-law is lucid, intelligent, and talkative, but is subject to periodic fainting spells. He therefore needs assistance getting around in a wheelchair. We desire someone who can interact with him, help him exercise, and care for him. He likes to play games and tell stories. We are looking for a person who can come to our home for 3-4 hours per day, Monday through Friday, who can follow a set schedule of activities for him. About the care needs: An outgoing person who enjoys conversations and playing games, such as backgammon, is a plus. An individual who is physically strong and can help him stand up is a plus. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
