We are looking for a strong caregiver for my bed/wheelchair-bound mother in her 50s, who is recovering from a stroke. She is 5'9" and approx. 240 lbs and has hemiplegia. We need someone strong enough to take the lead in transfers and therapy activities. Some transfers require two people, and we will assist, but the caregiver will be the primary person leading the transfer. Preference given to candidates who are physically capable of handling frequent transfers and mobility assistance. RESPONSIBILITIES -BATHING: Provide a shower 3 times a week (Mon, Wed, Fri) -TRANSFERS: Take the lead in transfers using various lifts (Hoyer, slide board, ETAC, Easy-Stand-Strap-Stand Stander) -MEALS: Prepare simple meals for breakfast and lunch -PERSONAL CARE: Change her brief every 2 hours or as needed NOTE: We have a tame Shih Tzu dog in the home
