About who needs care: She has Dementia. She dresses and feeds herself. She doesn't really have any interests besides TV, game books occasionally, and her dog which we would need someone to feed the dog. She will not shower unless she is made to. She showers herself with some instruction. She is in depends which she usually doesn't change inless she is told to. She does it herself again with some instruction. She spend her day watching TV, playing games on phone, going in and out to sit in the front and back yard. At 8:00 p.m. I have her take her dog out for the last time and go in with her to make sure she showers and goes to bed. She usually comes around 8:00 a.m. I get her coffee right away. I will fix her breakfast/lunch anywhere between 10-12depending on when she wants to eat. sometimes she doesn't want lunch. Dinner and dog fed at 6:00 p.m. About the care needs: She is pleasant and personable with other people so someone kind and positive. Someone who is patient, as she will ask the same questions over and over. Someone who is also firm as she will try to be a hostess and treat the caregiver like a guest. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
