He had a stroke in June of '24 and is still suffering some lasting effects, namely, his speech - he can be difficult to understand, and his sense of humor can be very crude, uninhibited, and inappropriate at times. He also has Vascular Dementia. He is very aware of his surroundings, but can be forgetful in the short term. He needs help with meals, medications, and general supervision. Occasionally hygiene. The ideal caregiver would, of course, be caring, patient, honest, reliable, etc... But also be able to develop a friendship with him. There is a small bird and a dog in the house.
