About the job
He is currently recovering from a series of falls that occurred in January, which resulted in 4 broken ribs. The falls are related to a stroke he suffered in June '24. He is struggling with some lasting effects of the stroke, namely, his speech - he can be difficult to understand, and his sense of humor can be very crude, uninhibited, and inappropriate at times. He also has Vascular Dementia. He is very aware of his surroundings, but can be forgetful in the short term. He needs help with daily hygiene, meals, medications, and general supervision. The ideal caregiver would, of course, be caring, patient, honest, reliable, etc... But also be able to develop a friendship with him. There is a small bird and a dog in the house.
