About who needs care: Stroke victim with minimal physical disability; minor cognitive impairment. Difficulty dressing without assistance. Is able to be alone for a few hours; becomes anxious easily. Likes to do genealogy research on computer, phone & tablet. Sometimes has difficulty managing electronics. Enjoys television & sometimes has problems with navigating the remote. Lots of medications which must be managed for him. Usually wakes around 7 or 8 a m; doesn't like to eat early in the day. Dental implants which are giving problems at the present time; sore gums are a problem. About the care needs: Someone who likes to listen to his stories, enjoys visiting, but also likes quiet time. Patience & ability to be flexible on mealtimes. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
