About who needs care: My mom lives with my Aunt and my Aunt's partner. They all still get around okay but my Mom has had chronic mobility and health issues for much of my life. As she nears her 70s, I am noticing a lapse in her memory and her inability to work with technology. She often feels lonely and stays to herself in her room. She has never been great at holding friendships and with her current state of life, I worry about her a lot. I work full time in corporate and my husband and I own and operate a small business all on our own, so time is limited. If I lived closer, it would be easier to manage and check in but a little support when I have too much on my plate would be a life changer. About the care needs: She loves to laugh and cares deeply for animals and children. Patience is critical as my Mom has a lot of strong opinions that have rubbed people the wrong way but she means well, truly. Her comments should not be taken personally and she is always willing to hear an explanation for why something she says might cause concern. She enjoys passing time at small local shops and loves to drive or ride around to see sights. She enjoys playing card and table games and will get sucked into a good movie. Services needed include: transportation, and companionship.
