About who needs care: Within the home, are two wonderful male roommates who both experience intellectual and developmental disabilities and receive direct care support. There are also a team of approximately 10 direct service providers trained to work within the home. This position includes the responsibilities of providing direct care, overseeing the day-to-day services provided, and managing/supervising/developing a team of passionate caregivers who also work within the home. About the care needs: We are currently looking for the right person(s) for this incredibly exciting and dynamic position. The right person will get to build a career in direct service while supporting two men in living their best lives and being supported in their own home. The ideal candidate has positive energy, a can-do attitude, demonstrates strong communication skills, and can take initiative, support maintaining harmony within the home, and ensure the expectations of care are upheld every day. The residents of this home are two adult males who have individualized needs, as outlined in plans of care. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
