I have a 2-year-old male Texas lacy. I adopted him in July 2024. He is a sweetheart; he is still nervous around men. We usually take a mile loop around the neighborhood before I leave for work. He is house and leash trained, he has free range while I am at work. He usually has breakfast @ 5 a.m. and dinner at 4. When the weather is pretty, we go across to the nature preserve and walk on the trails for an hour when I get home, then we do a few more neighborhood loops before bedtime. He will not be potty in my yard (I live in a townhome with a small backyard. But I live in a cul de sac with a field, and we go there for his potty breaks and are responsible pet owners that bag the poop.
