We have two miniature dachshunds, ages 13 and 10. Our younger female cannot walk normally due to IVDD. Her back legs are very weak. We carry her outside. She can stand and walk for only a short time and distance. Our older male is partially blind; he gets around okay in familiar places, although he will bump into things even in his home environment. Neither dog can jump or climb. Our dogs get along with each other. Our female is very nervous and relishes attention from her humans.
