I need a caregiver to take my puppy for a walk 2x a day while I work 12 hour shifts 6 days a week. That's why I elected the choice that my times may vary. However, I know my schedule 365 days in advance. I work alternating work schedule C, 2 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on 3 days off. And the cycle repeats. For instance. I'm off today and would work Monday and Tuesday. Off Wednesday and Thursday, and work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
