We have a fenced-in backyard and so pets do not need to be walked. If the weather is nice we leave the backdoor open for them to come and go. However, we have an elderly black lab that often needs to be accompanied outside to potty. We always clean up after their poops, or patrol the yard periodically to clean up poop. They need water and treats. Someone will come home after 5 p.m. to feed and take care of them.
