My husband and I a have a small year-old 20-pound beagle and, a 12-year-old 50-pound beagle. The small beagle is very energetic. The older beagle has joint issues and ambles. Both dogs are very friendly with kids and other dogs. The neighborhood is in a relatively safe quiet community.
