My dogs are used to being groomed every 2-3 weeks. They are accustomed to it. I typically like to have it setup beforehand whatever fits your schedule and ours. I am flexible, given one of my husband, daughter or I could be here. That's usually a very diverse time frame. I figure start out scheduling a time or two to see if you are ok with it and my dogs are comfortable with you. They are two Labradors, one is 6 and one is 4. We usually have them de-shedded that's why I try to often. I like them to smell clean to. We tried one of the mobile groomers a handful times, they did good by appearance but never smelled clean.
