I have an 8-year-old female Tortie, named Jax, who will be 9 in April. She is a little overweight so she has a hard time cleaning herself. She has dandruff, especially near the end of her back / near her tail. A lot of her coat issues come from allergies and anxiety that we treat these with dietary kibble, supplements, exercise, etc. but nothing seems to do the trick. She has a hairless tummy licking (vet confirmed either due ti allergies or anxiety). Shes always praised at the vet for being so sweet and has good behavior but shes never been to a groomer before. Im hoping that maybe shaving her will help but Im open to other suggestions and recommendations by a groomer.
